The No-Cavity Tree on Hoffmeyer Road blooms each time a child has a clean check-up at Prime Pediatric Dentistry. Each month, Dr. Charlton Connor tallies the number and donates to a local charity on each child’s behalf. In February, 42 children had clean check-ups, and Dr. Connor presented Boys & Girls Clubs of the Pee Dee Area with a donation.
“This allows us to engage with the community,” he said.
Though not a Club alumnus, the Florence native has been a friend to the Clubs for years. He did his Eagle Scout Project at the Florence Club installing a bench and landscaping in the early 2000s, and his father served on the board for a time.
Dr. Conner received his Bachelor of Science in Biology with honors from Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA in 2008 and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN in 2012. He completed his general practice residency program at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center through the Albert Einstein School of Medicine in 2013. He went on to complete his specialization in pediatric dentistry at Harlem Hospital Center through Columbia University in New York, NY in 2015.
