Celebrate Women's History Month with a program honoring Mary McLeod Bethune from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 23, at Butler Heritage Foundation, 1103 S. Sixth St., Hartsville. Learn about Bethune's life and how she inspires us today. Sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Darlington County and the NCNW Darlington County Section.
Speakers include Belinda Timmons, former chief judge for Florence County, Dr. Erica Johnson, FMU Associate Professor of History, Ariana Pickens-Thomas, National Council of Negro Women, Dr. Gina Bennett, Coker University Assistant Professor Global Studies, and Toschia Moffett, lawyer and president of the Coker Black Alumni Network (CBAN)
