Night Under the Stars at FMU Observatory
The FMU Observatory will be open on September 26, 2024, for an evening star party.
When is the event exactly?
Drop-In Time: any time between 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Where: FMU Observatory located behind the Center for the Child
Parking: Please use Lot D or the Center for the Child parking lots. Follow the glow stick path to the track area. It is a short walk, but it will be dark!
What will be happening?
We will have telescopes set up on the track near the Observatory. If there are additional helpers we will try and have the dome open as well. We will view Saturn and various Deep Sky Objects. There will be no moon in the sky this evening.
This is an outdoor event and visitors are encouraged to check weather conditions before venturing out to the University. In the case of severe weather, or completely cloudy skies, the event will be canceled.
