Summersgiving
Summersgiving, the Saturday after the Summer Solstice, was the idea of a man named Robert Solomon, from Norwood, NJ, and the website he created describes how he came up with the idea 11 years ago, according to Williamson Forward. He wanted to hold a summer barbecue that celebrated all the things he loved about summer, as well as the delicious food he loved from Thanksgiving. Summersgiving was born of a “love for great food, great drinks, and great friends,” the site says.
