Dr. Pawloski is a Professor of Education at Francis Marion University, with special expertise in the areas of early childhood education and teaching children of poverty. She is the Director of the Center of Excellence to Prepare Teachers of Children of Poverty, whose mission is to “increase the achievement of children of poverty by improving the quality of undergraduate teacher preparation, graduate teacher preparation, and the professional development of in-service teachers.” Thanks to Dr. Pawloski, the Center of Excellence is now recognized as the premier resource supporting educators who are seeking strategies to improve the quality of education that all children of poverty receive.
